Uzbekistan Welcomed Over 28 Thousand Turkmen Tourists

In the first month of 2026, the flow of tourists from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan increased by more than 7 percent. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In January of this year, Uzbekistan received 28.1 thousand tourists from Turkmenistan. This figure is 2 thousand people, or 2 percent, higher compared to the same period last year.

As noted, during the reporting period, out of the Turkmen citizens who visited Uzbekistan, 12,676 went for tourism, 6,602 for business trips, 5,027 to visit relatives, 4,448 for education, and 2,510 for commercial purposes.
