
Turkmenistan’s new vessel, "Gadamly," will actively operate in the Caspian region. This was stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Gurbanmammet Elyasov, during the welcoming ceremony of the vessel at the Baku International Sea Trade Port, as reported by the "Trend" agency.
In his speech, the Ambassador described the arrival of "Gadamly," the first dry cargo ship built in Turkmenistan, at the Baku port as a further indicator of the developing transport and logistics cooperation between the two countries.
According to G. Elyasov, the vessel, with a carrying capacity of 6,100 tons, was built at the "Balkan" shipbuilding and repairing yard in the Turkmenbashi International Seaport in cooperation with a South Korean company.

The diplomat emphasized that this project is crucial for strengthening the national maritime fleet, modernizing maritime infrastructure, and increasing logistics capabilities. The "Gadamly" vessel will significantly contribute to enhancing the efficiency of international freight transport in the Caspian Sea.
The Ambassador noted that the fact that the ship’s maiden voyage was made specifically to the port of Baku is a testament to the great importance Turkmenistan attaches to expanding relations with Azerbaijan, especially in the transport and logistics sector. This event is another example of mutual trust and friendship between the two brotherly nations.
At the end of his speech, the Ambassador highlighted that high-level meetings and negotiations play a vital role in strengthening Turkmen-Azerbaijani cooperation.
