
Russia and Turkmenistan maintain strong relations based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and good neighborliness. Ivan Volynkin, the Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan, stated this during a formal reception dedicated to the Day of Diplomatic Worker of the Russian Federation.
"Strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial relations with Central Asian states and maintaining lasting peace and stability in the region occupy an important place among the key priorities of Russia's foreign policy. The solid relations between Russia and Turkmenistan, based on principles of equality, mutual respect, and good neighborliness, are a clear example of this," the diplomat noted.
I. Volynkin expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their attention and support in the comprehensive development of bilateral cooperation.
The Ambassador also thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, for close cooperation and consistent support. He reminded that on February 18, Turkmen diplomats will also celebrate their professional holiday.
"I believe that many interesting events and projects await us ahead. Our united team will continue to work with great diligence, contributing to the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan, as well as the centuries-old friendship between the fraternal peoples of the two states," Volynkin emphasized.
The Day of Diplomatic Worker of Russia is celebrated on February 10.
