xAI Launches Grok 4.20: One Response is Now Prepared by Four AI Experts

The new Grok 4.20 (Beta) mode is now available on the Grok.com platform and mobile apps. Now, four independent agents work together on your question. The update is also open to free users, but with a limit: 8 requests every 4 hours.

Previously, this technology was only available in the Heavy version, which cost $300 per month. Now, the "team of experts" is accessible to everyone. In the chat, you can see the agents simultaneously thinking through the problem, verifying data, and summarizing the best information into one precise answer.

The parallel operation of agents is the major trend of early 2026. Google and Anthropic are also implementing similar solutions, but Elon Musk is the first to integrate this complex tool into a standard chatbot. The model's release was delayed by two months due to accidents in the data center caused by extreme cold. Currently, Grok 4.20 provides comprehensive answers within 10–20 seconds. There are no official benchmarks yet, but users can already evaluate the power of the new system in practice.
