A major shift in Xiaomi's release cycle is on the horizon. As reported by Ahmet Atayev, leading IT columnist for Amul Info, citing insider Abhishek Yadav (Yabhishekhd) and Xiaomi industry sources, the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are expected to launch at the end of April or in May 2026. This timeline is significantly ahead of the traditional T-series release window.
The standard Xiaomi 17T is rumored to house the Dimensity 8500 chipset and a 6500 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the high-performance 17T Pro, which is likely a global variant of the Redmi K90 Ultra, will boast the flagship Dimensity 9500, a massive 8500 mAh battery with 100W charging, and a built-in cooling fan. Both handsets will feature Leica-tuned triple camera setups (50+12+50 MP), with the Pro model exclusively gaining a periscope telephoto lens.
