
The Chinese company "Xpeng", which holds a leading position in the world electric vehicle (EV) market, has announced that it will take a historic step toward expanding its presence in the European market. According to a report by the famous "The Financial Times" publication, the Chinese manufacturer has reached a strategic agreement with the German automotive giant "Volkswagen".
According to the contract, "Xpeng" will soon purchase one of the factories of the German automaker located within Europe. This factory will be the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer's first production center on the European continent.
This important agreement was reached within the framework of the "Future of the Car" international conference held in London. Elvis Cheng, Managing Director of "Xpeng" company for Northern and Eastern Europe, spoke at the conference and confirmed that the parties had reached a mutually beneficial agreement.
According to international experts, this contract will lead to Chinese high-tech electric vehicles becoming more accessible in Europe and will elevate competition in the region to a new stage.
