The national team of school students from Turkmenistan attended the grand opening ceremony of the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO 2026), which kicked off in the South Korean city of Busan. This prestigious intellectual competition, which brings together the most talented youth proficient in physics from dozens of different countries in the Asia-Pacific region, is organized in a traditional format.
Participating in a competition of such a high level opens up wide opportunities for our high school students to demonstrate the high level of the country's national school of exact and natural sciences on the world stage and to further strengthen international educational relations.
The program of the Olympiad consists of two main stages, which will require great attention and deep knowledge from the participants:
Theoretical stage: Young physicists will search for solutions to complex problems related to the most advanced and intricate branches of this field of knowledge. Experimental stage: Students will carry out laboratory work with the help of modern and high-tech equipment.
The results of the competition will be evaluated by a jury consisting of leading professors and international experts from the world's most prestigious higher education institutions.
The performance of the Turkmen delegation in such a large-scale scientific forum is the result of the state policy pursued in our country to support talented youth and modernize the education system.
For the members of the national team of Turkmenistan, who successfully passed the rigorous internal selection competitions organized on the basis of the best schools in our country, the performances in Busan will become not only a struggle for medals, but also an important platform for exchanging experience with peers from all over the continent.
