20 new specialties and fields of study to open at the country's higher education institutions in the 2026/2027 academic year
With the aim of developing the economic potential of the country and preparing highly qualified personnel for various sectors, a total of 20 new specialties and fields of study will open at higher education institutions in the new academic year.
Specialist Program (10 specialties):
- Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University: Machinery and equipment for oil and gas fields; Metrology, standardization, and certification (in the oil and gas sector).
- S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University: Genetics, breeding, and seed production of agricultural crops; Water resources management using IT technologies.
- Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute: Pedagogical education (Arabic language and literature, Turkmen language and literature); Information systems and technologies; Ecology; Psychology; Special education (defectology, psychology).
- Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan: Information security of automated systems.
Bachelor's Program (4 fields of study):
- Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute: Pedagogical education (Physical education).
- International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs: Artificial Intelligence and expert systems; Mechatronics and robotics.
- Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages: Pedagogical education (Urdu language, Turkmen language and literature).
Master's Program (6 fields of study):
- Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University: Computer system software; Information security (in the oil and gas sector); Economics and management of the oil and gas sector.
- S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University: Plant protection and biotechnology.
- State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan: Economics and management of the fuel and energy complex.
- Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan: Peace and Neutrality.
