A Bright Path to Adult Life: "Last Bell" Ceremonies Resounded in the Schools of Turkmenistan
Today, May 25, the "Last Bell" ceremonies were celebrated with great enthusiasm in secondary schools across every corner of our country, with the participation of students graduating from the 12th grade. This joyful event, held in the year of "Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar", turned into the most memorable and pleasant moments in the lives of not only the graduates bidding a loyal farewell to their schools, but also their parents and beloved teachers.
During the solemn events, the graduates, who released white pigeons into the sky as a symbol of peace, showed special honor and respect to their beloved mentors who provided them with knowledge and guided them on their life path, presenting them with beautiful bouquets of flowers.
According to official data provided by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, tens of thousands of young men and women across the country are saying goodbye to school life and stepping into adult life this academic year. The number of graduates by cities and provinces was determined as follows:
- Mary Velayat: more than 25 thousand students
- Dashoguz Velayat: 23,798 students
- Lebap Velayat: nearly 23,700 students
- Ahal Velayat: 14,337 students
- Ashgabat City: 12,851 students
- Balkan Velayat: 8,680 students
- Arkadag City: 237 students
On the occasion of the successful completion of the 2025-2026 academic year and Ashgabat City Day, solemn flower-laying ceremonies were organized at the sacred sites of our country.
Flower-laying ceremonies were held at the Independence Monument in the capital, at the statue of the first teacher and hero soldier Berdymuhamed Annaev located at the 27th secondary school in Yzgant town of Gokdepe district in Ahal Velayat, as well as at the Main Flag squares of Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary Velayats. These events raised the feelings of love and loyalty to the Motherland even higher in the hearts of the young generation.
