Living a century is more than just longevity; it is the expression of a meaningful life remembered by generations. The warmth of the family hearth, the blessings and radiance of the home are primarily connected with a mother's affection. The presence of elderly people brings harmony, peace, and prosperity to a house. Therefore, our people hold long-living elders in special respect, and receiving their white blessing is considered a great happiness. Among the people, there is a saying: "To see a good person is a virtuous deed." Being beside a mother who has left a century of life behind, carrying the light of many years on her face, listening to her life experience, and receiving her good wishes is a particularly pleasant feeling. While living a century is the dream of many, showing respect to such elders is one of the noble traditions of the Turkmen people. Among Turkmens, there is a custom of touching both a newborn baby and an elder who has reached the age of one hundred to one's forehead. This tradition has been passed down from generation to generation as a symbol of deep respect for the beginning and continuation of human life. Hero-Arkadag, in his book "Enä tagzym — mukaddeslige tagzym" (Bow to the Mother — Bow to Sanctity), highly praising the role of a mother in the family, notes: "A mother is the source of life, the foundation of hearths, the pillar of the family." Indeed, life experience shows that in a house imbued with a mother's love, harmony, prosperity, and peace prevail. One of such cherished mothers is Akja Durdyyewa, a resident of the Boroshly village in the Beshir settlement of the Khojambaz etrap. Mother Akja, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday, has passed through various milestones of life during her century-long journey, always showing great reverence for the noble traditions of our people, family values, and the upbringing of generations. A century of life is not merely a count of years. It is the memories of generations, life experience, good wishes, and the sanctity absorbed into a mother's blessing. Respecting such elders, taking an example from their path of life, and passing on their valuable advice to the younger generation is one of the enduring lofty principles of our people.
