At the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States held in our capital city Ashgabat, an important document — the Interstate Radionavigation Program for the years 2027–2030 — was approved.
This strategic document is fully in line with the Economic Development Strategy of the CIS for the period up to 2030. It was also developed in harmony with the national programs in the field of radionavigation and space activities implemented by the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Russian Federation.
The newly approved Program aims at the harmonious development of the radionavigation systems of the Commonwealth member states. Within the framework of the document, a complex of joint measures is envisioned for creating modern navigation tools based on terrestrial and space technologies. In this direction, special importance will be given to utilizing the component base and technologies developed within the CIS countries themselves.
According to experts, the successful implementation of this program will further strengthen the technological independence of the Commonwealth states. It is also expected to elevate the mutually beneficial cooperation of the parties in the field of high-tech developments and modern navigation systems to a new level.
