A solemn event dedicated to the diplomatic and cultural role of women was held in Ankara
Yesterday, an international event celebrating the role of women in modern society and their significance in developing international cooperation was held in the building of the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Türkiye. This cultural-diplomatic meeting, organized within the framework of the year "Independent, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the land of winged horses", attracted great interest.
This solemn event, jointly organized by the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan and the Spouses of Heads of Diplomatic Missions Association in Ankara (SHOM), was dedicated to the important theme: "The role of women in modern society: developing international cooperation and strengthening cultural dialogue."
The ceremony was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Ankara, members of international and public organizations, spouses of ambassadors, as well as employees of leading Turkish media outlets.
During the discussions, it was emphasized that there is a need to further enhance the role of women's diplomatic and social activity in strengthening international humanitarian relations, expanding cultural dialogue, and building bridges of friendship between states. Speaking guests highly praised the permanent Neutrality status of Turkmenistan, its effective foreign policy course based on the principles of peace-loving, good-neighborliness, and mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as the contribution of the organized event to these values.
As part of the event, a specially prepared cultural program was presented to the guests. It widely introduced the centuries-old national traditions, rich historical and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, and modern achievements gained during the years of Independence. Turkmen national dishes offered to the participants of the meeting added a special flavor to the celebration.
In addition, the guests who attended the event visited a photo exhibition dedicated to Akhal-Teke horses, which are the national pride of Turkmenistan. The exhibition featured magnificent photographs reflecting the unique beauty, swiftness, and historical significance of the heavenly horses in world culture, leaving unforgettable impressions on the guests.
