
Afghanistan has expressed interest in studying and practically applying Turkmenistan’s experience in the agricultural sector. This was announced by Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, following a meeting with Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, held in the city of Herat.
According to Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Turkmenistan has achieved significant progress in agriculture, which has attracted strong interest from the Afghan side. Kabul hopes for the practical application of this experience and for the further development of cooperation between relevant institutions of the two countries. This information was published on the social media platform X by Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.
The talks also addressed the implementation of key regional initiatives, including the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan (TAP) power transmission project.
The meeting was attended by ministers of energy, transport, railway and mining sectors of both countries, as well as representatives of state companies and senior officials.
