In Turkmenistan, protecting the health of mothers and children, supporting young families, and shaping a healthy generation are among the key priorities of state policy. In this direction, relevant work is also being carried out to widely promote the importance of breastfeeding and provide necessary advice to mothers.
The healthy growth and normal development of a child primarily depend on proper nutrition. According to specialists, breast milk is one of the most natural and beneficial foods for an infant. Specifically, during the first six months of a child's life, breast milk provides the numerous nutrients and fluids essential for growth.
One of the particularly valuable forms of breast milk is colostrum. It holds vital importance during the first days following a baby's birth, helping to establish the infant's feeding naturally.
Breastfeeding is not limited to merely providing nutrition for the child; it also creates the conditions for fostering a close bond between mother and child. Therefore, it is of special importance to provide young mothers with accurate information about the benefits of breastfeeding and to support them in this regard.
The efforts being undertaken in Turkmenistan to promote and support breastfeeding are aimed at protecting children's health, fostering a healthy generation, and establishing principles of a healthy lifestyle within families.
