China has successfully completed on-orbit work to modernize the "BeiDou" satellite navigation system. The implemented measures are aimed at improving the quality of the system's services and increasing navigation reliability for users worldwide.

According to the China Satellite Navigation Office, the technical capabilities of a portion of the operating satellites were upgraded as part of the modernization. Measures were also carried out to enhance the overall operational efficiency of the "BeiDou" system.

Currently, the "BeiDou" navigation system features 50 active satellites. The system enables global positioning with an accuracy of approximately 10 meters. The velocity measurement accuracy reaches 0.2 meters per second.

In addition, the system makes it possible to determine coordinates with high precision: up to 30 centimeters in the horizontal plane and up to 60 centimeters vertically. Time determination accuracy does not exceed 20 nanoseconds.

Relevant Chinese authorities note that plans are underway to further expand the capabilities of the "BeiDou" system in the future. The introduction of new navigation technologies will be aimed at further increasing the reliability and accuracy of its services.

Currently, "BeiDou" is one of the major satellite navigation systems used not only within China but also across various regions of the world.
