A regional conference on trade and economic cooperation with Central Asian countries was held in Changsha, China, from October 17 to 19. Bringing together more than 300 participants, including diplomatic representatives from several countries, executives of major enterprises and experts, the forum focused on developing industrial cooperation and expanding investment ties.

The event organizers presented six priority areas for cooperation. These included construction machinery, biomedicine, infrastructure development, energy, mineral resources, cross-border logistics and the mutual recognition of standards.

Particular attention from conference participants was drawn to 66 major investment projects prepared for implementation in Central Asian countries. The projects cover areas such as the development of natural resources, the expansion of renewable energy sources, environmental engineering and the introduction of modern technological systems.

As part of the conference, a delegation of entrepreneurs from Shaoyang held several targeted talks with foreign partners. The delegation was led by Li Yi, chairman of Beixi International. Chinese business representatives examined the regulatory and legal frameworks of Central Asian countries and opportunities for cooperation across various sectors of the economy. They expressed interest in developing practical partnerships based on the principle of “Central Asian resources and the production capabilities of Chinese enterprises.”

According to forum participants, strengthening transport and logistics corridors creates new opportunities for sustained growth in mutual trade and the development of long-term investment cooperation.
