
On April 12, 2026, the III International Mathematical Olympiad for schoolchildren concluded solemnly at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University. This prestigious educational competition brought together a total of 170 most talented young mathematicians from 11 countries: Turkmenistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Türkiye, China, Iran, and Kyrgyzstan.
The closing ceremony was attended by officials from the Ministry of Education of the country, members of the international jury, foreign delegations, and representatives of the general public. Guest speakers emphasized that this event is not only an educational competition but also an important platform that strengthens friendship and brotherhood among nations and elevates international scientific and educational cooperation to new heights. They also expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for creating extensive opportunities for young people to receive modern education and reveal their talents.
The results of the competition, held at two levels (A and B), were analyzed by a jury composed of local and foreign experts. In this Olympiad, where a total of 85 medals were awarded, Turkmen youth distinguished themselves:
In terms of the number of gold medals, our country's schoolchildren recorded the best performance with 6 top-level awards. Honor certificates and valuable gifts were presented to the winners in a festive atmosphere.
