Throughout September, various cultural, public and ceremonial events will be held across all parts of Turkmenistan to mark the glorious 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.

At a government meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Seyidova reported on the plan of celebrations and events to be organized on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of independence.

According to the plan, conferences, exhibitions, creative meetings, awareness-raising events, musical celebrations and other activities will be held throughout the festive month.

Among the main events dedicated to the significant anniversary are the musical celebration “Bright Paths of the High Goals of Our Hero-Arkadag, Esteemed Serdar”, a ceremony honoring citizens awarded state decorations, and a ceremony to award the winners of the competition for the President of Turkmenistan’s “Türkmeniň Altyn asyry” Prize.

A flower-laying ceremony at the Independence Monument, ceremonies to raise the State Flag of Turkmenistan at the main flag squares of the regions and the city of Arkadag, a ceremonial parade, a festive concert and other public events will also be held.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the 35th anniversary of the country’s sacred independence is approaching and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure high-level preparations for the celebrations and their proper organization.

The celebrations to be held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence will be aimed at widely marking this significant date, which is of great importance in the life of the country.
