The cost of the iPhone 18 Pro could rise noticeably compared to the previous generation. Analyst Jeff Pu has confirmed forecasts predicting a potential price increase of roughly $250–$300.
According to 9to5Mac, the new iPhone 18 Pro model may start at around $1,349–$1,399, while the Pro Max version could range from $1,449 to $1,499. The Wall Street Journal previously published a similar forecast, attributing the price hike to rising costs for RAM, storage drives, and a new smartphone camera.
The price jump is expected to be driven by more expensive components, including the A20 Pro processor, LPDDR5X memory, and NAND flash storage. By some estimates, Apple's expenses for the latter two components could triple compared to the previous year.
While Apple could theoretically maintain current prices by accepting lower profit margins per device, recent price increases across other Apple products make that scenario unlikely. If these forecasts hold true, the iPhone 18 Pro will become one of the brand's most expensive smartphones in history.
