First HSK Test Center for Chinese Language to be Established in Turkmenistan
A significant new step is being taken in Turkmenistan's education system. Within the framework of the International Chinese Language Day celebrations held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, it was announced that the country plans to establish its first HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) international test center.
Why is the HSK Center important? According to the Ambassador of China to Turkmenistan, Ji Shumin, the opening of this center will create several advantages for young people and specialists studying Chinese:
- International Certificate: Students will no longer need to travel to other countries and incur extra costs to obtain an international certificate confirming their language proficiency.
- Academic and Career Benefits: An HSK certificate opens direct paths to admission at China’s leading universities, access to scholarship programs, and employment opportunities in major Chinese companies.
- Regular Testing: The establishment of the center will provide conditions for conducting tests locally on a regular basis, in accordance with international standards.
Currently, the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan and relevant partner organizations are actively working on the organization of the center. This project is viewed not just as an educational center, but as a strategic continuation of the humanitarian and cultural relations between the two countries. The creation of such a test center in Turkmenistan will help young specialists become competitive on a global scale.
