During the visit of Georgia's Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, to Ashgabat, issues concerning the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia in the fields of education and science were discussed.

The Minister met with Batyr Mammedov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, to discuss opportunities for further expanding ties between the relevant agencies of the two countries. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and friendship.

During the meeting, the Georgian side put forward several new initiatives. These included proposals to increase opportunities for Turkmen youth to study in Georgian higher education institutions, to hold an educational exhibition of Georgian universities in Turkmenistan, and to implement and finance joint scientific projects.

It was also proposed to explore the possibility of opening a branch of one of Georgia's higher education institutions in Turkmenistan. This initiative is viewed as a significant step aimed at elevating bilateral educational relations to a new level.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the youth sector. The parties discussed organizing international summer camps to be held alternately in both countries, expanding student exchange programs, holding meetings of young scientists, and developing joint projects in the fields of education, science, and innovation.

The sides noted the importance of further developing cooperation in these areas and creating new educational opportunities for youth.
