Google is working on a new Bluetooth tracking device called Pixel Tag, designed to help users locate lost belongings. The new product aims to expand the company’s smart device ecosystem and compete with the popular Apple AirTag.

The new device is expected to feature a longer, oval-shaped design. Special wallet-style holders or keychain accessories are planned to allow users to attach it to various items.

One of the key features of Pixel Tag will be integration with the Google Find Hub service. This functionality will allow users to track the location of lost items through their smartphones.

The device is also expected to include a powerful speaker for quickly locating nearby items, along with privacy protection features designed to prevent unauthorized tracking.

The official launch of Google’s new Pixel Tag is expected on August 12, 2026. During the event, additional details may be revealed, including the type of battery used and whether the device supports UWB technology, which enables more precise location tracking.

The new device will become one of Google’s products aimed at strengthening its position in the smart home and personal technology market.
