In October 2026, international scientific and practical conferences related to artificial intelligence and innovative technologies are planned to be held at two higher education institutions in Turkmenistan.

This was reported by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Mammedov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via a digital system.

One of the conferences to be held at the relevant higher education institutions of Turkmenistan will be organized at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering under the title “The Role of Innovative Technologies in the Construction and Industrial Complex”. The other conference will be held at Oguz Han University of Engineering Technologies and will focus on the theme “National Artificial Intelligence Technologies — Digital Economy, ‘Smart’ Diversification, Sustainable Development”.

According to the “Watan” news programme, students, professors, teachers and scientists from higher education institutions of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of reputable foreign higher education institutions and major international organizations, are expected to participate in the international events.

During the conferences, issues such as the creation of “green”, safe and “smart” cities, the production of innovative construction materials, the automation of production processes and the introduction of robotic technologies will be discussed.

Particular attention will also be paid to studying international experience in the practical and innovative potential of artificial intelligence technologies in the “smart” diversification and digitalization of the economy and in ensuring sustainable development.

A relevant proposal to hold international scientific and practical conferences in these areas was submitted for consideration by the head of state. After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan supported the proposal and instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to carry out the necessary work to organize the planned events at a high level.
