International Opera Festival to be held in our Capital
In May of this year, our capital city Ashgabat will host a major international cultural event—the TURKSOY Opera Days—alongside celebrations dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the famous Turkmen composer Veli Mukhadov.
During a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via digital system, Vice-Premier B. Seyidova reported on the work being carried out in cooperation with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY). As noted in the report, these events will be an important step toward preserving and promoting the common cultural heritage of Turkic-speaking peoples worldwide.
- Veli Mukhadov’s Jubilee: A special opera concert will be organized to mark the 110th anniversary of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan, the master composer Veli Mukhadov.
- TURKSOY Opera Days: An international cultural forum will be held featuring the most talented opera performers of the Turkic world.
"By actively participating in the work of TURKSOY, Turkmenistan plays a special role in passing the rich heritage of thinkers and artists to future generations."
The Head of State approved the proposals and emphasized the importance of holding the planned events at a high organizational level. It was noted that this international event is not only a celebration of art but will also further strengthen the reputation of Turkmenistan's cultural diplomacy on a global scale.
