An informal consultative meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in the Kyrgyz Republic.

"Our informal meeting is a good opportunity to discuss topical issues on the agenda and determine future priority areas for our multilateral cooperation. The activity of contacts at all levels clearly demonstrates the shared desire of our states for effective cooperation for the well-being of the fraternal peoples of our countries and the prosperity of the entire region," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He noted that thanks to the strengthening of mutual trust and the consistent development of regional cooperation, Central Asia is experiencing the most successful period in its modern history.

"Azerbaijan's accession to the consultative meetings as a full participant has marked a new stage in our cooperation. Through joint efforts, conditions are being created to further deepen political dialogue, expand cooperation in investment, energy, and industrial sectors, and create a unified transport and logistics system," the President of Kazakhstan stated.
