Kazakhstan’s KSP Steel company has signed a contract with Turkmenistan’s State Concern Türkmennebit for the supply of 11,000 tonnes of pipe products. The agreement marks an important step in strengthening industrial and trade cooperation between the two countries.
The contract was signed on 22 October in Ashgabat on the sidelines of the international conference “Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas — OGT 2026”. The document was signed on behalf of KSP Steel by the company’s Commercial Director, Bauyrzhan Kozhabekov.
Under the agreement, the pipe products will be manufactured at the company’s facility in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan. They are intended for use in Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector. The deal will enable Kazakhstan to increase exports of high-value-added metallurgical products and strengthen the position of its domestic manufacturer in the Central Asian market.
The OGT 2026 international forum brought together more than 1,700 delegates from nearly 75 countries. During the event, Turkmenistan’s state concerns also concluded several cooperation agreements with companies from China, Malaysia and Uzbekistan.
Trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan continue to develop steadily. According to the results for January–August 2026, bilateral trade reached 361.4 million US dollars, representing a 9.3 percent increase compared with the same period last year. During this period, Kazakhstan’s exports to Turkmenistan amounted to 233 million dollars.
The implementation of the new contract will help expand Kazakhstan’s exports of industrial products to Turkmenistan and ensure more efficient use of KSP Steel’s production capacity.
