Since the beginning of 2026, specialists from the Galkynyshnebit Oil and Gas Production Directorate of the Turkmennebit State Concern have extracted more than 402,100 tonnes of oil from operating wells on the Cheleken Peninsula. This figure is significantly higher than the planned production volume.

At the beginning of the year, the directorate’s specialists, who work at oil fields along the Caspian Sea coast, had planned to produce 367,100 tonnes of oil. As a result, the production target was achieved at 109.5 percent.

The company’s employees are currently continuing the industrial development of two new oil wells handed over by drilling teams. The work is intended to increase oil production in the region and make efficient use of production capacity.

The report was published in the Nebit-gaz newspaper.
