NASA has officially unveiled the crew for the Artemis III mission, scheduled for launch in 2027. The team consists of commander Randy Bresnik, pilot Luca Parmitano (ESA), and mission specialists Frank Rubio and Andre Douglas. During the two-week expedition, the crew will test new spacesuits and practice docking procedures with landing module prototypes from SpaceX and Blue Origin. This mission serves as a critical step toward NASA’s primary goal: returning humans to the lunar surface, which is currently planned for 2028.
