New Natural Gas Flow Obtained from a Gas Field in Mary Velayat: Over 700 Thousand Cubic Meters of Pure Methane Produced

The large-scale work carried out in the fuel and energy complex of our country continues with new and proud achievements. As a result of the strategy to develop the sector implemented under the leadership of the esteemed President, an industrial flow of sulfur-free gas was obtained from production well No. 04 at a gas field located in the territory of Mary Velayat.

Thanks to the dedicated labor of Turkmen gas workers, drilling operations were successfully carried out at a depth of 2916 meters. From the underground strata at a depth of 2860 to 2858 meters, an industrial flow of more than 700 thousand cubic meters per day of sulfur-free, hydrogen-free pure methane gas was produced. The extraction of this natural gas, distinguished by its high ecological value, has become an important event in further increasing the energy potential of our country.

The acquisition of the new gas flow opens up additional opportunities to increase the volume of hydrocarbon resource extraction, export energy sources on a diversified basis, and create reliable systems for supplying them to international markets. Currently, consistent work is underway to modernize the wells of the "Galkynysh" gas field, develop new deposits, and widely introduce digital systems into production.

The achievements in the oil and gas sector, which is the foundational industry of our national economy, make a great contribution to further strengthening Turkmenistan's position as a powerful energy state in the international arena.
