The scientific and educational system of independent and permanently neutral Turkmenistan is currently undergoing significant transformation. The study of national values, historical and literary heritage, the development of young people's talents, and their orientation toward world-class scientific achievements remain among the key priorities of state policy.
As a result of the large-scale efforts of the esteemed President aimed at developing science and education, the country is steadily strengthening its scientific and technological potential, introducing innovative technologies into production, and carrying out important initiatives to enhance Turkmenistan’s position within the global scientific community.
Youth Successes as Clear Evidence of Progress
The opportunities created by the state for young people are already producing tangible results. One example is the international achievements of talented students.
Graduates of Specialized Secondary School No. 39 in Turkmenabat, Govher Babahanova and Leyli Daniyarova, along with 11th-grade students Nurana Saburova and Dilnoza Alymova, achieved success in the prestigious UNIPO International Online Project Competition and were awarded silver medals. This achievement became a wonderful gift to the school and the country’s youth on the occasion of Science Day.
In addition, a scientific project entitled “The Importance of Recycled Animal Bone for Living Organisms,” prepared by 12th-grade students of the same school, attracted considerable attention at an international competition and also received a silver medal. The project scientifically substantiated innovative approaches to producing biofertilizers and feed additives through the recycling of livestock bone waste.
The results of this work create opportunities for producing useful materials for soil and plant development. The study also demonstrated that recycled bone products can positively influence the growth of domestic animals and poultry, strengthen bone structure, and accelerate development.
Success in Natural Cosmetology
A second scientific project prepared by 11th-grade students focused on producing safe cosmetic products from natural ingredients under home conditions. This project also earned a silver medal at an international competition.
Today, global demand for environmentally friendly products free from chemical additives continues to grow. In their project, the students developed a method for combining honey, olive oil, and lavender oil in appropriate proportions. This natural mixture helps soften the skin, promote cell regeneration, and improve overall skin condition. In addition, substances contained in beeswax help prevent various skin disorders, while the oils nourish and soothe the skin.
The Example of a Teacher and the Path to Science
Students of this school have previously achieved success in various national and international project competitions. Behind these accomplishments stands the dedicated work and professional guidance of chemistry teacher Gulnar Jumayeva. Her contribution to encouraging young people to engage in scientific research deserves special recognition.
Today, science occupies an important place in the development of all sectors of society. Scientific achievements have a powerful impact on everything from the economy to everyday life and pave the way for new opportunities.
As a result of the successful implementation of Turkmenistan’s science and education policy, young researchers who achieve success on international platforms are making a significant contribution to the country’s development.
