Number of student places increased by 1,239 in Turkmenistan
On July 13, the acceptance of documents from applicants started at higher and secondary vocational educational institutions in Turkmenistan. This year, more than 18,000 young people will be admitted to higher education institutions.
Due to the introduction of new specialties in a number of higher education institutions, compared to 2025, the number of student places has been increased by 1,239. The annual increase in the number of educational institutions and areas of professional training is clear evidence of the economic power of our country.
20 new specialties and training areas that meet the requirements of our national economy are being introduced in the higher education institutions of our country. Such long-term planned activities testify to the stability, consistency, and future-oriented nature of the ongoing reforms. In the 2026–2027 academic year, 10 new specialties are opening in higher education institutions.
The commissioning of new modern buildings of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction and the Seitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute this year is also one of the major developments in the education system.
