Garyagdy Berdiyev is a man of the people, a student of the revered mentor and teacher Berdimuhamed Annayev. He was born in 1936 in the village of Akhal in the Geoktepe etrap of Akhal velayat. His childhood years were spent in this village, and he studied at the local school. Young Garyagdy received his education under the guidance of the esteemed mentor and teacher Berdimuhamed Annayev.
