Production is expanding at the enterprise for packaging therapeutic mud and sea salt located in the Jebel settlement of the city of Balkanabat, Balkan province. The enterprise uses local natural resources to produce various types of therapeutic mud and sea salt used in healthcare and cosmetology.
The enterprise has an annual production capacity of 400,000 packages of therapeutic and cosmetic products, 200,000 packages of Mollagara mud, as well as 100,000 packages each of volcanic mud and sea salt. The enterprise consists of three main departments responsible for the production of therapeutic mud, packaging of sea salt and quality control of products, with their operations coordinated through the use of modern technologies.
Modern equipment manufactured by leading companies from Italy, Türkiye, Japan, Belgium and France is used in production. This not only helps improve product quality but also makes it possible to increase production volumes.
Turkmenistan is one of the countries rich in natural therapeutic resources, and the mud deposits of Lake Mollagara in Balkan province are of particular importance. In recent years, considerable attention has also been paid to the beneficial properties of this mud in cosmetology. Mollagara mud is used as a natural remedy that helps promote skin cell renewal, normalize blood circulation and moisturize the skin.
The mud from volcanoes located in the territory of Esenguly district also stands out for its unique composition. Various microelements contained in the mud are used in cosmetology and in the production of health-related products.
At the enterprise, the mud undergoes several stages of processing before being introduced into production. Raw materials brought from natural sources are cleaned in special sieves to remove stones, sand and other impurities. The cleaned material is then mixed with purified water to the required consistency and poured into packages. The production capacity of this department reaches 600 packages of finished products per hour.
The sea salt packaging department also carries out production in several stages. First, the salt is crushed to the required size, after which it is cleaned of various impurities using special sieves and magnetic systems. A portion of the purified salt is prepared in tablet form, with medicinal herbs added to it. The department’s production capacity is equivalent to 3,600 grams of finished products per hour.
The products manufactured at the enterprise are supplied to sanatoriums, healthcare and rehabilitation centres, hospitals, health centres and pharmacies in various parts of the country. Thus, products made from local natural resources are becoming an important part of production aimed at protecting public health.
The enterprise’s specialists plan to further increase both the production volumes and the range of therapeutic mud and sea salt products. The effective use of modern production capabilities in this area is an important part of the work being carried out in the country to process natural resources and supply the domestic market with locally produced goods.
