Representatives of the Energy Institute in Uzbekistan: Ecological sustainability and scientific cooperation
Specialists from the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan are in the Republic of Uzbekistan for an international training and experience exchange visit, within the framework of projects funded by the European Union and implemented by GIZ. This visit, taking place from June 8 to 14, is aimed at developing ecological sustainability and a "green economy" in the region.
The main purpose of the Turkmen delegation's visit to Uzbekistan is to study international experience in the fields of water, energy, and ecology, as well as to implement alternative energy sources and innovative biosystems into national production.
During the visit, Turkmen specialists are exchanging experience in several key areas:
- In Karakalpakstan: Acquaintance with bioplato systems for natural cleaning of drainage water and water pump stations operating on solar panels at the branch of the Scientific Research Institute of Irrigation and Water Problems.
- Bioindustry and bioenergy: Studying laboratory work and production conditions for cultivating chlorella microalgae at the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
- Scientific seminars: Conducting scientific seminars in Tashkent on reducing soil salinity, water-saving technologies, and assessing soil electrical conductivity.
- Agro-photovoltaic systems: Scientifically studying the practical application of modern "agro-photovoltaic" systems that combine agriculture with solar energy on farms in the Syrdarya region.
Within the program, the delegates will familiarize themselves with the work of the International Innovation Center for the Aral Sea Basin and visit experimental sites for intensive horticulture. This international visit further strengthens the steps taken by Turkmen scientists to implement state policy on developing a "green economy" and introducing scientific and innovative technologies in our country.
