
A delegation consisting of representatives of the Mejlis and relevant state agencies of Turkmenistan acquainted themselves with the People's Republic of China's experience in acceding to the World Trade Organization (WTO) from July 5 to 21, 2026. This was reported by the press service of the national parliament.
Organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China, this training seminar was held in the cities of Beijing, Fuxin, and Fuzhou. The University of International Business and Economics in Beijing was selected as the main base institution for the event.

Within the framework of a comprehensive program, Turkmen representatives were provided with detailed explanations of China's experience in joining the WTO and safeguarding national interests within the organization, as well as modern methods of managing free economic zones.

As noted, studying China's experience will help strengthen Turkmenistan's international trade and economic relations, improve the regulatory and legal framework within the process of WTO accession, and advance economic reforms in the country.
