Students, teachers, young scientists, researchers, and other interested citizens of Turkmenistan can participate in free online open science training programs offered by NASA. The courses are accessible to the general public, and participants can take the lessons at their own convenience and pace.

The program consists of two courses that allow learners to explore the core principles of open science and modern digital tools. The first one, Open Science Essentials, consists of five lessons and can be completed in approximately two hours.

The more comprehensive Open Science 101 course includes five modules. Completing this program fully takes an average of about 12 hours.

During the training, participants can learn key concepts related to open data, FAIR principles, and effective scientific data management. They will also gain knowledge about preparing scientific data management plans, open peer review, open-source software, licensing, data repositories, and version control systems.

In addition, the curriculum places special emphasis on contemporary issues such as ethical principles in scientific research, international scientific cooperation, and the application of artificial intelligence technologies in open science.

These courses can be useful for young Turkmen scientists, postgraduate students, higher education teachers, and professionals from various fields engaged in research and digital projects. The knowledge gained from the training can help prepare research results in a more open, accessible, and reproducible manner.

Participation in the program does not require a competitive selection process or a strict completion deadline. Registered participants can continue their studies at their convenience, and their learning progress will be saved in the system.

Participants who successfully complete the courses are awarded an electronic certificate and a NASA digital badge. Registration for the program and the courses themselves are conducted through NASA's official online platform.
