Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree extending the visa-free entry procedure for Chinese citizens into the country until December 31, 2027. This step will serve as an incentive to further strengthen friendly relations, economic cooperation, and cultural exchange between the two states.
According to current regulations, Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports can enter Russia without a visa for the purpose of visiting relatives, business trips, tourism, and participating in scientific, cultural, economic, or sports events. In addition, a visa is not required for transit travel through the country. However, the duration of each trip must not exceed 30 days. Previously, in May, the Chinese side also announced the extension of the visa-free entry period for Russian citizens until December 31, 2027.
The visa-free system between the two countries has been in operation since 2000 and is regularly extended, which clearly demonstrates the stability and interest of both parties in mutually beneficial relations.
According to the "CCTV+” agency, the extension of the visa-free entry period will make a major contribution to increasing the number of mutual tourists and developing business and cultural ties.
