SCRMET: Weekly trading results exceeded 3.3 million US dollars
Last week, 16 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET), demonstrating high results.
Foreign Economic Activity During the foreign currency trading, foreign entrepreneurs purchased various goods:
- Georgia: liquefied gas produced by the enterprises of the "Turkmennebit" State Concern.
- UAE, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan: textile products (plain-dyed and jacquard terry items, denim and cotton fabrics, cotton yarn, ready-made tents), cottonseed oil, and industrial goods (water heaters, plumbing supplies). The total value of transactions in foreign currency exceeded 3 million 297 thousand US dollars.
Domestic Market Domestic entrepreneurs were also active in the internal market, purchasing polypropylene produced by the "Turkmennebit" State Concern, as well as wheat flour, cotton yarn, raw silk, and cotton fiber. The total value of these transactions amounted to 128 million 216 thousand manats.
The trades conducted reflect the growing export potential of Turkmenistan and the strengthening cooperation between domestic producers and consumers.
