Educational institutions of Turkmenistan have become an important platform for the XXXIII International Scientific Conference of Students, Postgraduates, and Young Scientists "Lomonosov – 2026," organized by the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. Within the framework of this forum, which runs from April 10 to April 24, scientific sections solemnly operated in two major higher education institutions of the capital.
On April 11, the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi hosted scientific meetings for three sections of the conference: "Foreign Languages and Regional Studies," "Theory, History, and Methodology of Translation," and "Philology." Young scientists discussed modern topics such as the formation of lexical competence in the context of digital education, the role of artificial intelligence in language learning, and the cognitive aspects of machine translation.
On the same day, a meeting of the "Chemistry" section was held at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University. Young researchers presented proposals of scientific and practical importance, such as obtaining environmentally friendly fertilizers from local raw materials, producing construction materials from industrial waste, and utilizing lignite waste from the Tuarkyr field.
This international cooperation, which began last year with two sections based in one institute, has expanded significantly this year. This proves the steady strengthening of academic relations between Turkmen universities and MSU. The conference provided a great opportunity for young scientists to exchange scientific experience, establish new collaborative relationships, and join the international scientific world.
