The first concert of the new creative ensemble — the orchestra “Melodiya” (“Mukam”) — took place at the “Ta-Tal” theater, with a hall full of spectators.
The orchestra’s director, international competition laureate Annaoraz Dowletov, dedicated his first performance to the memory of Jemal Muhammedov, cello teacher at the Special Music Boarding School of the Turkmen State Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva.
The concert was hosted by Yekaterina Darchia. In the first part, the audience learned about Jemal Muhammedov’s life, accompanied by wonderful musical pieces reflecting his career.
In the second part, Muhammedov’s favorite compositions were performed, including works by Aman Agajykov, Georgy Sviridov, Valery Gavrilin, John Williams, Arno Babajanyan, and other composers.
Jemal Muhammedov’s daughter and son, along with his fellow teachers, performed during the concert.
Annaoraz Dowletov noted that the “Melodiya” orchestra plans to hold a festive concert dedicated to International Women’s Day in the near future.
