An important initiative aimed at modernizing the science and education system has commenced at Magtymguly Turkmen State University. Within the framework of the United States' "English Language Specialist" (ELS) program, organized by the US Embassy in Turkmenistan, professional development training sessions have begun for teachers and students.
This experience-sharing event is conducted by Brent Anthony Andres, an experienced lecturer in English and Communications at the American University of Armenia. The training, which consists of two phases, will be organized for the university faculty from June 1 to June 5, and for the students from June 8 to June 12.
The main goal of the professional development courses is to effectively integrate the most advanced modern technologies, especially the capabilities of artificial intelligence, into the English language teaching process and curriculum development. Additionally, methods for preparing modern educational resources and manuals will be taught in detail during the sessions.
Along with developing their language skills, the participants will master international practices in forming a scientific writing culture, enhancing communication skills, and the latest strategies for autonomous language learning. This will greatly contribute to further strengthening the scientific and pedagogical potential of the higher education institution.
