At least $10 billion in private investment will be directed toward projects related to the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in Türkiye. This was announced by the President of the Republic, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"Türkiye is making active efforts to transfer the experience and capabilities accumulated in the defense industry to other areas, primarily to the artificial intelligence system. We will mobilize at least $10 billion in private investment to develop the infrastructure of data processing centers, cloud technologies, and artificial intelligence. We will allocate at least 2 percent of the resources of our state investment programs to the implementation of projects in the field of artificial intelligence. By 2030, we will increase the total capacity of data processing centers in our country to at least 1 GW," Erdoğan said at the presentation of the AI action plan in Istanbul.
According to him, Türkiye plans to train 10,000 specialists in the field of AI and approximately 100,000 specialists in the use of artificial intelligence.
"We will play an active role in the development of human-centered AI standards on international platforms such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the G20, the UN, and others," the Turkish leader noted.
"I hope that together we will place Türkiye among the leading countries of the artificial intelligence era," Erdoğan emphasized.
Currently, Türkiye is actively integrating artificial intelligence into public administration, the defense industry, and business. The Republic is considered one of the leading countries in the world in the use of conversational neural networks (chatbots).
