Turkmen athlete Shohrat Orazgeldiyev performed successfully at the "Samarkand Open" World Open Universal Combat Championship held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, earning a gold medal.

Shohrat Orazgeldiyev, an employee of the Transport Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan and a police lieutenant colonel, competed in the 70 kg weight category in the "Classic" discipline.

At the international competition held from July 25 to 28, the Turkmen athlete fought four intense matches, defeated all opponents, and claimed the tournament's main prize.

On the final day of the championship, Shohrat Orazgeldiyev also performed successfully in the professional universal combat league, becoming the holder of the championship belt.

The experienced athlete has demonstrated high results and earned prizes in several other international competitions held throughout the current year.

This victory by the Turkmen athlete serves as further evidence of the achievements attained in our country's sports sector and once again proves the high skill of Turkmen athletes on the international arena.
