Students from Turkmenistan demonstrated a high level of academic proficiency and achieved great success at the "Lomonosov-2026" international olympiad held at the Lomonosov Moscow State University. In this prestigious competition, which focused on linguistics, regional studies, and cultural studies, our students secured a total of 11 prize-winning places, once again confirming the strength of the national education system.

In the "Linguistics" category, Turkmen students won 3 first places and 8 second places.

First place winners:

  • Guncha Musayeva – 3rd-year student at the Dovletmammet Azady Turkmen National Institute of World Languages (TNIWL);
  • Yaran Khudayberdiyev – 1st-year master's student at the Saparmurat Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University;
  • Leyli Romanova – 3rd-year student at the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute.

Second place winners:

  • Aymaral Jumabayeva – 3rd-year student at the TNIWL;
  • Leyli Durdyyeva – 2nd-year student at the TNIWL;
  • Kristina Semenova – 3rd-year student at the TNIWL;
  • Muhammet Nurmammedov – 1st-year student at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University (TSU);
  • Lale Rzagulyyeva – 4th-year student at the TSU;
  • Zuleyha Orazova – 4th-year student at the TSU;
  • Bashgul Orazmyradova – 3rd-year student at the TSU;
  • Kamila Khudaybergenova – 4th-year student at the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

The intellectual competition was held in two stages. In the first, remote stage, participants presented their scientific research results in linguistics. In the final stage in Moscow, the students performed complex linguistic tasks in chosen foreign languages. Our students deeply impressed the organizers with their rich knowledge of Russian, English, and French.

In the final round, 29 students from 5 higher education institutions represented our country. The national team was led by instructors Maysa Atayeva (TNIWL) and Jennet Shamyyeva (TSU).

The consistent success of our students in this competition shows that their scientific and creative skills are at a high level. The "Lomonosov" olympiad serves as an important event for improving the professional level of young people, strengthening international educational ties, and supporting talented youth. The fact that Turkmen students have successfully performed in this competition for the fourth time is the result of the great attention paid to the education system and the investment in the intellectual growth of the youth in our country.
