Students of the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages are taking part in a one-year educational programme to study the Korean language in the Republic of Korea during the 2026–2027 academic year.

The programme is being implemented as part of cooperation with Kangwon National University, located in the city of Chuncheon, Republic of Korea. A Memorandum of Understanding is in effect between the two higher education institutions, aimed at developing cooperation in the fields of science and education.

One of the main features of the educational programme is that classes are held directly in a Korean-speaking environment under the guidance of Korean teachers. This approach enables students to improve their academic knowledge of the Korean language, develop everyday communication skills and acquire the language more effectively through practical experience.

The one-year programme is not limited to language classes. Students have the opportunity to use the libraries and digital educational resources of Kangwon National University, as well as exchange experiences with peers from different countries.

In addition, within the framework of the programme, Turkmen students have the opportunity to become more closely acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage, traditions and contemporary society of the Republic of Korea.

The international educational programme not only contributes to improving students’ foreign-language proficiency, but also helps them gain experience in an international academic environment and develop communication skills with representatives of different cultures.
