Between May 25 and 30 of this year, an international mathematics and science olympiad for high school students was organized by Amity University in Noida, India. In this prestigious educational competition, high school students from Turkmenistan demonstrated great enthusiasm and high preparation, managing to bring several gold, silver, and bronze medals to our country.
The team of young talents from Turkmenistan tested their strength during the theoretical and laboratory phases of the olympiad in mathematics, physics, and chemistry subjects. As a result of the intense competitions, our students reached the following high milestones:
- Muhammetmyrat Muhammedow (11th-grade student of the specialized secondary school No. 6 specializing in exact sciences and intensive English language, in Mathematics) — Gold medal;
- Mehdi Shemmiyew (9th-grade student of the secondary school No. 79, in Physics) — Gold medal;
- Halylmyrat Gurbanmyradow (11th-grade student of the specialized secondary school No. 87 with intensive language studies, in Chemistry) — Gold and Silver medals;
- Shatlyk Jumageldiyew (11th-grade student of the specialized secondary school No. 86 with intensive study of English, chemistry, and biology) — Silver and Bronze medals;
- Yakup Nuryýew (11th-grade student of the specialized secondary school No. 86 with intensive study of English, chemistry, and biology) — Bronze medal.
The guidance for the high-level preparation of the youth for this international competition and the unfolding of their talents was led by Dörtguly Gylyjow and Meretguly Gurbanow, experienced teachers of the "Gujurly Bilim Merkezi". This grand victory achieved by Turkmen youth is another clear outcome of the reforms carried out in our country toward developing the education system.
