Turkmenistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan, Atadurdy Bayramov, held a meeting in Tokyo with the new Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Kazuhiko Amakawa. The parties focused heavily on further strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat congratulated the new head of the bank on his appointment and expressed confidence that high-quality and effective bilateral relations will continue to flourish. In turn, Kazuhiko Amakawa highly praised the established cooperation with Turkmenistan and confirmed his readiness to support future projects.

Strategic Partnership and Successful Projects

For many years, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has been one of the key partners in financing major industrial and high-tech facilities implemented in Turkmenistan. With the participation of leading Japanese companies, the construction of several strategically important complexes has been successfully completed in our country.

Among these large-scale projects are the gas-to-gasoline (GTG) plant in Ahal Region, the "Garabogazkarbamide" gas-chemical complex, and the state power plant in Charjev Etrap of Lebap Region. These facilities serve as clear evidence of successful Turkmen-Japanese business cooperation.

"Green" Economy and Future Opportunities

During the negotiations, the parties discussed in detail the ongoing areas of cooperation. One of the main topics of conversation was the financing of new projects in accordance with the requirements of the modern economy, the consistent transition to a green economy, and the efficient and environmentally friendly use of resources.

The parties exchanged views on expanding mutually beneficial relations in this direction in the future, developing new investment initiatives, and introducing environmentally safe technologies into Turkmenistan's production. The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
