In the near future, new projects on the development of new hydrocarbon deposits and the implementation of large-scale exploration works with the participation of Malaysia's «PETRONAS» company will be launched in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea. This was reported by Muhammetnur Atayev, a teacher at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, in an article published in the «Turkmenistan» newspaper.
High-Level Agreements
These projects were discussed during bilateral talks as part of the official visit of the delegation led by the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Turkmenistan. Confirming the effective nature of long-term cooperation in the energy sector, the parties reached important agreements in the following areas:
New Projects: Implementation of new joint projects in the oil and gas sector.
Increasing Capacity: Consistently increasing oil production capacities on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea.
Investment: Further development of sustainable investment cooperation.
The effective use of Turkmenistan's rich fuel and energy resources and the development of new hydrocarbon deposits in the Caspian create great opportunities to further expand the scope of international economic cooperation.
