
Today, the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation was held at a high level at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in our capital, Ashgabat. This strategically important meeting was co-chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Nokerguly Atagulyyev, on the Turkmen side, and by the Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, Cevdet Yılmaz, who arrived in our country on an official visit, on the brotherly Turkish side.
Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz released a dedicated statement regarding the outcomes of this historic meeting via his social media account. The distinguished guest noted the following in his statement:
"Together with friendly and brotherly Turkmenistan, with the aim of production, mutual investments, and implementing joint projects in third countries, we are not merely limiting ourselves to developing bilateral trade, but are also consistently strengthening our economic cooperation, which creates significant value at regional and global levels. During the meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission, we comprehensively discussed the work carried out and future tasks to further advance our mutual relations with Turkmenistan."
At the conclusion of the meeting, the final Protocol of the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation was signed. Furthermore, an Action Plan consisting of 71 articles was adopted, encompassing concrete measures and initiatives to be implemented across numerous fields such as trade, investment, energy, transport-logistics, education, and industry. Cevdet Yılmaz wished that these historic documents would be beneficial and prosperous for the peoples of the two brotherly nations.
At the end of his statement, the Vice President of Turkey expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Nokerguly Atagulyyev, as well as to the Government of Turkmenistan and all Turkmen representatives for the high-level hospitality and brotherly welcome extended to him.
