Nationwide entrance examinations for admission to Turkmenistan's higher education institutions officially commenced on July 29. According to reports published by the official news outlet Turkmenistan, the crucial phase of the academic campaign will run through August 20.

The current examination structure follows directives issued during an expanded Cabinet of Ministers meeting on July 10, where the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the necessity of ensuring a fair, organized, and publicly transparent admission procedure to select the country's most talented youth.

The document submission phase was conducted between July 13 and July 26. For the current academic year, universities across Turkmenistan will admit over 18,000 students—reflecting an increase of 1,239 student places compared to the previous academic year.

To support national economic development goals, higher education institutions are launching 20 new specialization and educational degree programs. These additions include 10 specialized degree tracks, four bachelor’s degree programs, and six master’s degree programs. Meanwhile, vocational and secondary specialized educational institutions across the country will continue accepting applications until August 17.
